May 16, 2020 - Really opened up in bottle after 3+ hours: chocolate, dark red fruit, a little tobacco... amazing versus what it was on first opening. I have two bottles left -- maybe wait another year and still give it 1-2 hours on opening... was truly a pleasure at 4 hours so don't want to miss that experience on next bottle.

January 29, 2020 - Dark red purple. Plum, cassis, blueberry, and smooth fine grained tannins.

January 12, 2019 - I have experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly with this wine. My last bottle was good but nowhere close to my first few experiences. The last bottle showed well with food but not by itself. This experience was noticeably better: Dark berry fruit, good extraction, still somewhat acidic, but nowhere near like the past couple of bottles. Tobacco notes show and the tannins are have toned down a good degree. Perhaps this wine has taken a turn for the good? I have 2 bottles left, we will see. 92-92.7 Points

November 2, 2018 - Nose: leather, vanilla, wood, spice, dark cherry
Taste: stone fruit, mineral, grippy, firm, some sage notes...not a ton of fruit forward stuff here
Finish: long acidity that is sweet on the mid palette, fine tannins persist which bodes well for ageing

September 16, 2018 - Delicious. Dark purple in color with minimal legs. Oak, cherry, earth on the nose. Flavors of tobacco, cherry, and oak. Serious and structured; a great cab. Slightly overpriced, though, in my opinion.
