December 8, 2016 - Quite pale red. Enticing nose with a mixture of red berries, spices, some earthy undertones and a touch of almonds. The winemaker describes the wine as feminine and I find that sums it up well: a fresh mouthfeel despite the 14% alcohol, decorated with raspberries, sweet red cherries and fine forest floor aromas as well as savory spices. Slender and elegant rather than full and bold. Good and a touch sweet fruity finish. Very nice and moreish German Pinot Noir.
