September 11, 2019 - Pauillac, Margaux or St Emilion for Mid-Week Wine Group (Shear's Grotto): Refined blackberry nose with some graphite and herbs. Dusty tannins on the palate. I was amazed at how well this was drinking for a young pauillac. Everyone was surprised this was a Lynch Bages. Finished of 4 of 6.

August 20, 2019 - The nose showed mineral-infused crushed raspberry, hints of blueberry, plum, sweet holiday spices, pencil lead, and sweet florals. On the palate, I found silky, polished textures with firming acids and fine tannin framing it’s red and black berry fruits, spice and earthy minerality. The finish was long, structured yet fresh, showing tart red fruits, sweet herbs, hints of purple florals and dusty tannin.

June 28, 2019 - Delightful showing from this bottle. The 15 LB is aromatically giving, with dark and red fruit overshadowing any new oak. It’s a big wine to be sure, but far more fruit than the 15 Smith Haut Lafitte. The tannins will continue to integrate early, making this a nice wine for consumption beyond the 10 year mark. It won’t have all the secondary development by then (although there is the faintest hint of cigar wrapper) but the structure will allow for earlier enjoyment than some of its tougher peers (Montrose, PLL, SHL).

Very nice note from Englishman’s Claret, and I agree with the description, save that this bottle was open for business

June 23, 2019 - Followed for 7 hours, the 2015 Lynch Bages sports an intense, deep, powdery blackcurrant nose with mineral, pencil, cedar, and violet accents. Medium body, high tannin, vibrant acidity. The fruit on the palate isn't particularly intense and there are initially prominent Cabernet spice notes which recede with air. Perhaps most impressive is the pure, currant and pencil-infused finish; moderately long. Accessible just after decanting, shut down hard after an hour, and opened back up at hour 7.

March 5, 2019 - Too young to be drunk. Loads of tannins hiding the fruit, even after a 4 hour decant.Has the potential in a few years to rate much higher than 94. Long. finish.
