March 17, 2024 - Deep clear ruby purple with a ton of sediment
    Ripe dark currant fruit.
This a quite a nice 2nd, just a bit off balance

December 15, 2023 - From 375. Fruit is a bit ripe bordering on overripe, giving it a rather tinny thin feel to the palate and finish. Seems a little advanced for such a young wine. Maybe in an awkward spot but might be showing the stress of the vintage.

    November 11, 2023 - 尝。这次最open,在状态的一个。气味放开,口中也打开了。柔软的风格,比其他的酒相较之下很明显。不错

November 9, 2023 - Firm still. My impression of this wine is always the same. A great classic Bordeaux table wine that never disappoints, and never surprises. Muted nose, firm and healthy red fruit, tinged with graphite. This is a classic Pauillac that needs some romancing to be enjoyed. Ok to drink with a deep decant, and or allow more bottle aging for 3+ years. Drink or Hold

October 8, 2023 - While I recognize that this is a second wine, this is utterly disappointing for a 2015 Pauillac. Very little character and depth. Much better options for the price point from this vintage.

June 13, 2023 - I stop drinking expensive wine a long time ago, i find the harmony to be surprisingly balanced considering the price point. I would recommend to decant at least 30 minutes. In 2023 I feel it might be a little young; it’s balance and has a personality that’s already worth to try it.

January 21, 2023 - Aerated about one hour before consumption. Good plum color. Never having had this I had elevated expectations for serving with a grilled Tri-Tip. Aromatically this was stingy offering a whiff of tobacco and coffee, but not much else. On the palate I found this coarse and slightly bitter with an overpowering anise that I found made the tasting experience unbalanced. The finish is loaded with incense and charcoal. A surprising lack of acidity given the relative youth of the wine.

Feels heavily extracted and not yet in harmony. Not sure where this is headed. I paid $33, so I can’t say that the quality to cost was disappointing to me but I have found the Smith Haut Laffite Le Petit to be a better made second wine, though admittedly one bottle is an incomplete comparison. Two bottles remain, and my gut is telling me to wait another 3 years before drinking the next bottle.

November 21, 2022 - PNP 1st day, had with a room service burger in my hotel room. 89 pts the first day. Finished it off the second day before heading off to the airport, improved a bit 90pts. QPR not that great for a 2nd wine from a great vintage / great producer. Agree with most of the previous notes regarding lack of excitement.
