December 14, 2017 - nice fruity dry riesling. Wish I had more

A complete contrast to the dry "funky" Pearl Morissette Black Ball Riesling I had earlier in the week.
For me this is the epitome of what a beautiful drinking everyday Riesling should be about. Just downright tasty and beckoning with each sip.
Not bone dry, but still dry ..... 15g/L of residual sugar.
Clear pale straw colour. Aromas touch on florals, citrus, some wet stones. A nice herbal element as well.
Medium bodied, with really nice depth and concentration of the flavours. No apparent oak/tannins. Lemony zing, mildly tart MacIntosh apples, pineapple and a grapefruit zest at the end. Also getting a stoniness and a bit of herbs on the mid palate to finish. Lively, juicy acidity. Medium + length to finish. Well balanced, overall a nice structure to this Riesling, probably could last up to 10 years in the cellar.
I let this warm up to cellar temp and it was even better then when chilled.

April 11, 2017 - Unsure about this one. A bit pricier than the Gewurz and the Chenin Blanc we'd had right before. This was a touch sweeter than the later and a touch less sweet than the former. Something not quite right in the balance though. Perhaps acidity? Had only a quick taste of this one as we opened the bottle right before I left.

April 7, 2017 - fleshy, ripe, mid-to-heavy texture, displaying the long, hot vintage. Red apple and gossamer. Missing the nervy energy of other vintages but will likely be better with some age
