August 20, 2023 - 3y later on, rather different --- a tasty (showing a bit more finesse and seriousness) but a rather one-note and uncomplicated pour. Not grapy, exactly, dry-fruity though pronounced fruit, and now awfully strong in its single merlot note. (Writeups say some CF, but you coulda fooled me.) Improves w a splash of water for sure. 15%, eesh. Why, Lord?

February 2, 2023 - Pnp, tasted over three days. On day one quite closed. Opens up with dark fruit, pebbles, barnyard, wood, cocoa. Great structure with a bit of tannic grip and good length. Nice and fruity, but with finesse. Some complexity. I don’t get any alcoholic warmth, despite the claimed 15%. Very good!
