January 23, 2024 - Soirée vins compris. Nez un peu vert, mais fin et léger. Peu profond en bouche. Le vin en a toutefois encore sous le pied. 89-90.

November 29, 2023 - Popped and poured over about 2 hours, at first was very closed and muted but after warming up to room temperature and being exposed to air for 30 minutes it opened up with blackberry and what I guess is the graphite pencil lead smell that people associate with Bordeaux, with aggressive swirling the nose was lovely and expressive. Flavors mainly in the dark fruited spectrum, mouthfeel was a bit astringent and drying and low acidity and a medium length finish. This was quite nice and might be a little young as it definitely took some swirling to open up. I'm going to try to wait another 10 years before opening another.

October 22, 2023 - Excellent -- no major difference vs my last note. Decanted for 1 hour and consumed over the next two.

August 11, 2023 - Very nice, classic St Julien. The nose showed right upon opening, the mouth feel suave and round. Blueberries, well balanced toasted oak. Chocolate, berries, earth, forest, mint… so nice. Well balanced. I think this has many years ahead.

August 4, 2023 - Still very primary but open. Dark cherry, violets and mint. Fairly seductive and deep palate with fine tannins. Certainly will improve with time but very enjoyable now with minimal air.

November 19, 2022 - decanted for about an hour and then drank over the course of the evening dinner (3.5 hrs). terrific mid-level Bordeaux that doesn't need years of cellaring to be accessible but will also improve with more bottle age -- detailed notes to follow...

graphite, black currants, spice, leather, tobacco, mint, herbs, forest floor, mushrooms, Darjeeling tea, anise, rose... bright red in the glass, medium/full body, it's got everything you want in a Bordeaux at a very accessible price point. I have 11 bottles left and got this via a deal from B-21. I regret not buying another case.... this can definitely be consumed now if you decant for 60-90 minutes, no need to wait years and years. Will it get better? Yes, probably. Will you actually notice that improvement? Doubtful... it's already fabulous.

October 15, 2022 - Super young but potential here. Cherry, black licorice, spice, gravel, tar and clove. Medium plus finish and really young. Hold until 2025. 91-93 points.

May 22, 2021 - youthful aromas of dark fruits on the nose: wild berries, cassis, dark plum, hints of mint and herbs, cedarwood.

medium alcohol, medium+ aciditiy, the wine has a very feminine and elegant character, which we liked a lot. very fresh and clean. great drink flow. we enjoyed this stuff.

can age forever. 1-2h of decant recommended.
