July 24, 2020 - Still very tight. Double decanted but didn’t really open up. Black fruits, medium bodied. Firm tannins. Needs easily 4 more years or so. Decent potential.

June 12, 2020 - I drank this wine, finishing the bottle soon after tasting it and entering my prior note here, this time with food which made all the difference. With my chicken and lentils, the fruit in this wine was much more apparent, and also quite sweet and fairly sappy (yes, SW, sappy!). Acidity more apparent, and the wine was more friendly with some food accompanying it; however, the wine is still at best a middling Bdx and no more than a decent pour for a mid-week evening to serve with leftovers.

June 10, 2020 - Popped & poured today. Dark ruby color, nose is herbaceous--spice, herbs, black berries. Medium body, a bit tight, spare and closed initially. There's dark fruit, some saddle leather, & I detect some unsweetened dark chocolate. This wine is young and needs bottle age before tasting the next time. Firm tannins, a bit green tasting on the lengthy finish, and somewhat austere overall.

March 15, 2020 - 90/91. This is a bit austere but good. Has typical aromas of gravel, leather, blackcurrants, plums and black raspberries. Its medium bodied elongated, chiselled austere black fruits palate has nice oak, good depth and acidity. Ends longish, fresh and a bit grippy. 13.5%. Needs 5 years+ laydown.
