May 4, 2019 - Lack of character and taste. Would wait couple more years to drink the other bottles

March 11, 2019 - seems a bit extracted with a somewhat bitter ending....surely needs time but doubt that it will overcome that....

February 23, 2019 - Color: Transparent ruby. At the rim there is already a slight decoloration. Nose: A bit too much oak for my liking. Red fruit. A bit alcoholic. Mouth: Too much oak. A bit alcoholic. Some red fruit. Some cherries. A bit broad and wishy-washy. Not for long-term cellaring. Somewhat better after breathing in the fridge hence 1 point up (before 83).

February 21, 2019 - 2 hour decant (mag decanter). Nose: Earth and funk aromas with dark fruits underneath. Palate: Dark fruited with lean minerality and the fruit being a touch ripe giving credence to those who would consider this modern. For me I stop short of that and feel this is pretty typical for a Lalande de Pomerol. Tannins and acidity are pretty proportional with a medium long finish. For $29 a fairly decent QPR even though somewhat unremarkable. Good weekday Bordeaux.

December 8, 2018 - Rounded and tasty but still lacking that Bordeaux character that only builds up with time at this level. A lot of fruit, medium extract. It should be nice two years from now and much better around 2023. It should age nicely for about a decade.
