December 29, 2023 - Translucent garnet. Refined black cherry, cigar box and leather on the nose. Medium bodied with a burst of blackberry fruit, fine tannins and lovely freshness. Good persistence. Shows better than the 2014 tasted alongside but slightly less ready to go. My personal favourite out of three vintages tasted together (14 / 15 / 16). No harm drinking now with some air but may benefit from another year or two in the cellar.
WSET Notes:
Medium garnet.
Pronounced on the nose with black cherry, blackberry, cedar, graphite, leather, earth and tobacco. Developing.
Pronounced and dry on the palate. Medium body, medium alcohol, medium plus acidity, high tannins, long finish.
Can drink now but has potential for ageing. -

October 13, 2023 - Flott varm nese, kompleks Bdx med bær, lær og jord, i hvert fall. Fyldig og fin i munnen. Bærfornemmelsen er tydelig og god, flott matchet med syren. dempede tanniner, som antyder at det ikke er et langt liv igjen. Har 2 til og gleder meg til dem. Dette var litt overraskende bra.
