September 23, 2023 - With 2 hour double aeration/decant this wine was drinking beautifully. This is a big wine in terms of dense dark black fruits/plum but also has a solid structure with firm but manageable tannins. Long, long finish. Will age for a long time but drinking well with aforementioned decant

September 17, 2023 - Pouring deep deep red almost black. Fantastic nose with Serious Base notes of Raw Game, vanilla bean, Dried red cherry, Black soil, Cassis with hints of sandalwood and cigar wrapper. For some reason the Anvil of Crom popped into my head while pondering these aromatics. Dry palate entry, crushed oyster shell, Dark Red and Blue Fruits, Density & Power, Pencil, spicy finish with palate cleansing acidity. Even though alc. 14.5% no sense of heat. Tannins are noticeable but, not obtrusive. Would like to see acidity soften a bit further through the aging arc. A serious food wine with long life a head. There is a lot Here in the bottle and it just needs more time. Glad I opened to get sense of direction but, won’t open another for 3-4 years. Purchased as futures and stored accordingly… Na zdrowie

June 17, 2023 - Dark profile in the nose and palate. Plums, black currant, tobacco. Some toast from the oak, but no vanilla. I described the tannins as silky, other taster found them harsher than me.

February 16, 2023 - Still a baby. I opened this up 90 minutes ago and it's starting to open up. It tases very out of balance with a lot more acidity at first, but then calms down. I get a woodsy floral nose and the oak is recapitulated on the palate. After 2 hours, it's starting to get the dark berry flavors, but not to the level that I am reading in the TN below. The tannins are a little soft as well at this point and not as chewy as I expected. My opinion is to decant for a couple hours and hope for a better experience

February 12, 2023 - Deep ruby with garnet hues. Medium plus intensity on the nose. Chocolate, plum, tobacco and blackcurrants. The new oak treatment evident. Medium acidity and medium plus tannins. Long finish. Would benefit from additional aging.

January 3, 2023 - Strangely, enjoyed this less than the first bottle. It seems very primary with an overbearing oak presence. Based on this bottle, I'd let it sit 5-10 more years to get some secondary notes and have things balance out a bit more.

November 22, 2022 - Nice, but given much higher ratings by people I respect I must assume it is somewhat shut down. Nothing wrong, and very good, but nothing to get super excited about. Let it sleep!
