March 18, 2024 - PNP initially, then tried again next day.
Nose was subdued; medium body with blackberry, some oak, and a nice hint of minerals. Good balance, smooth tannins, and satisfying finish. I expected more complexity at this stage… nice wine, but not any better than it was 5 years ago. More fruit appeared on second day.

March 9, 2024 - Seems to be in a dormant state at the moment - also compared to an earlier sample from the same case tried two years back, which was too young but certainly drinkable. This time the nose was subdued with very little to offer on the palate. Tried it up against a Caronne Ste. Gemme 2015 that turned out to be the better drink that night. Will leave the Leoville for at least 2-3 years.

February 11, 2024 - Chez MG: black fruit, tobacco, tannins, still youthful.

January 29, 2024 - Still too young. Enjoyable, nonetheless.

Ripe, plush and soft. Dark-fruited and oaky, with soft tannins. Labelled at 13% alc., which is pretty amazing for how boldly-flavored this is. Medium-low to medium acidity. I imagine this will age well, on the strength of its fruit and low alcohol. That said, its flabbiness robs it of any true excitement at this time. Drinks well now if one is looking for a young bold Bordeaux -- perhaps to pair with a juicy steak -- but best to Hold.
