June 4, 2023 - PNP. Has turned a corner. At 8 years old it is fabulous. Wish I had waited on the previous 3 bottles. I think it is just now hitting it's stride.
August 10, 2022 - Chateau Margaux nailed this one. This is a wine with precision and power, with body, and with complexity. The nose hits you with lime zest, tropical fruit, and ocean breeze. And then it explodes on your palate. There's citrus, tart nectarine, saline, and a restrained bit of oak, but that's just for starters. This wine keeps unfolding, and the really surprising element was this toasted coconut flavor. On top of these interesting and striking flavors, the wine is deeply structured. It has a medium+ body and stiff acids. This thing could take years and years to unwind, and I'm sure that would be nice...but so is devouring this guy when it still has its foot on the pedal.
October 22, 2021 - That’s a “wow”. The purity and length of finish is spectacular. Drink now or in 20 years
October 22, 2021 - NYWE pretty, fresh waxy and honey under tones.
Made for 300 years. 29 AC Sauvignon Blanc 100%
1/3 is used in the selection. Ages well. 1,000 cases per year.
June 16, 2020 - Pear, pink grapefruit, herbal, fruity, vibrant, sort of spicy aspect with a little kick in the finish; nice concentration, long, excellent. Wine #3 for me, as well as for the group. DD tasting blind Malibu.
October 19, 2019 - WIML93
Tasted double blind.
Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of wet earth, flowers and yellow pears. Flavors of lemon, peach and lime. Bright acidity, medium to full bodied. Drink or hold.
My guess was a 2012 Musar White. Missed that one by a bit!
