December 7, 2023 - One hour decant. Very very deep, intense brick red magenta color. Plum, dark raspberry, nutty mushroom, and subtle soil notes. Smooth, dry palate, with fine acidity. Firm, lower intensity tannins on the longish finish.
This has impressive richness. Enjoyed this as part of a weekend in NYC that was supposed to have happened 3.5 years ago as part of my 25th anniversary. Paired well with our French-themed dishes at Nice Matin. The “makeup trip” is off to a good start.4 people found this helpful Comments (11) -

October 30, 2023 - Great fruit, balance, depth. No green which has been a characteristic I’ve experienced with other vintages. Amazingly approachable now but worthy of cellaring and will only get better. Out of a 375 ml and it was just perfect for the moment.

August 27, 2023 - Still very young. A few years out, at least. Felt like this came into form around 3.5 hours in the decanter. Shows amazingly well - one of my favorite recent vintages from this merlot heavy powerhouse.
