December 7, 2023 - Commanderie Event: Sociando Mallet (Minikahda Club, Mpls): Very dark red/purple color. Brief double decant. Drank a glass over 2 hours. This shows much more herbaceouness, vanilla, ripe, lots of unresolved oak, cassis, a little damp earth. Very young, needs 5+ years. 90-92pts potential.

November 24, 2023 - Decided to have another go at this. Double decanted and the wine seems to be waking up. The nose is delicious with butterscotch, black tea, cassis, brown sugar, cherries and roses. The palate has tea, sweet licorice, cassis, sweet cherries and a peppery medium plus finish. It’s still a bit all over the place but the signs are there.

October 13, 2023 - Opened at lunchtime, decanted at 17:00 and consumed during dinner time, tannins were well integrate, not chewy, good combo of dark fruit and vanilla, still young

September 14, 2023 - Assez fermé au début, carafage nécessaire. Un premier nez un peu trop vanille qui fait un peu craindre un excès de barrique, mais au final ca s'ouvre assez bien sur des arômes de fruits noirs confits. Petits tanins présents mais pas dérangeant. Va s'améliorer avec quelques années en plus.

June 29, 2023 - Nez complexe, menthe, pharmacie, poivron. En bouche, belle rondeur, ample. Tanins souples. Le tout est bien équilibré. Belle longueur. Fort agréable
