March 12, 2024 - Good introduction to Bordeaux at a for the area a very decent price, dark slight fading blackcurrant and mint nose, nice full mouthful well balanced and good aciditysome tertiary notes keep it interesting.
Will have to see if I can get some later vintages of this as it is VGV. -

October 3, 2023 - My gift bottle for completing the 2023 Marathon du Medoc. Surprisingly lovely. No always been a Beaumont fan but this was proper Bordeaux where everything is in moderation and in the best sense. First sniff - ah: a grown up wine; this really is lovely. Leafy and blackcurrant nose, with a touch of wood in the background. Medium bodied and with a balance throughout and a proper adult savoury finish that Bordeaux does so well. Not much complexity but it's straight, undemanding and actually rather charming. Good value.
