Community Tasting Notes 4

May 4, 2019 - 3 hour decant (mag decanter). Nose: Aromas of graphite, roasted nuts and earth. Palate: Quite modern for a Bdx with big fruit profile (some of which could be attributed to the ripe 2015 vintage) with black fruits, some tar hints, solid tannins and a long finish. Good value but Bordeaux purists might opt for other selections.

January 24, 2019 - rated on night three, after two nights under VinVac. Much softer than night one. Integrated, supple, expressive. Black fruit, leather, grippy finish. Great value at $30. Approachable now, with air.

December 11, 2017 - An impressive wine in every way. Super dark black-red color, med to full body, impeccably build, vibrant, complex and long. The nose resembles the top wines of Bordeaux and the palate does not stay behind. Bring it for blind tasting and wait people call it Monbo or better. WOW! This is obviously very young but even at this stage it's clear that this is a top notch effort that has nowhere to go, but up! See you in 5 years beautiful.

April 29, 2016 - Luscious textures and an earthy, sweet, dark chocolate, boysenberry, plum and confiture core, the wine finishes with black cherries, cocoa and thyme that feel as rich as it tastes.
