November 29, 2023 - Very good right now, its not showing its age -color is still bright. Fine sediment so filter or decant.

February 3, 2023 - Quite nice. Struck as hot at first, but that didn't take long to calm down. Fruit is more of a background note at this point. No bricking, color still good.

September 22, 2020 - The red fruit is fading away, but its being replaced by more herbs and cedar notes. Still good, just different.

July 5, 2019 - Still going strong. The finish was a little sappy, but it got better every day it was open.

May 11, 2019 - A solid Wellington offering. Think classic merlot - cocoa nibs and the like.

February 24, 2018 - Magenta and clear ruby color. Cedar, earth and blackberry nose. Medium bodied, blueberries, black cherries, sage, woody tannins, pepper, leather, dark chocolate, good acid, and a long dry finish. Soooo good.

September 2, 2017 - Peter's merlot always reminds me of the style of merlot I like. Great structure, good use of oak, overall very well made. Too many California merlots come across as flabby plum bombs. This is not one of them. Really nice wine.

May 13, 2017 - Most recent vintage of this I know I have, but thought I had some '13.
Klez hits it well with his notes. Makes me want to go find some of the earlier vintages and see how they are progressing.
