October 12, 2011 - Wow - still holding its own, wish i had more. Cherry and tobacco. Tannins have settled down, very smooth and rich. Perfect with a grilled steak. Was consistant over three hours. Will write more about day two.
September 22, 2010 - What you drink as a fifth bottle
February 24, 2010 - Deep purple, murky. Initially its lively, gets muted as it opens. Starts out with cherry, with a bit of tartness or balanced acidity. No tannins, opens to include darker notes, tobacco. Enough acidity to hang in there with steak and chimichurri sauce with a bit of spiciness. Holding it's own hours latter. We'll see about day 2.
December 6, 2008 - Nice, carbernet, backberry fruit
October 17, 2008 - color: dark violet
nose: cassis, blueberry, violet with hints of tobacco and licorice.
nice balance. spice and a bit of smokeness framed with good acidity. a nice wine.
February 8, 2008 - Starts a little sour, improves with air and pretty mellow, slight cedar wood in the end.
November 22, 2007 - Big, meaty gamey wine. I love the flavors. This is a superb blend. 91 points is high but fair- this is an outstanding wine! Very traditional Euro/Old World flavors overlaid with Temecula red wine flavors.
September 26, 2007 - Smooth with a nice balance of fruit and tannins. Good structure. Not a fruit bomb (Thank you!!)
August 14, 2007 - Not sure why, but I really loved this stuff. It reminded me of the wines I drank in France.
June 22, 2007 - For me, this is an outstanding wine. There's a great fruit forward component to the wine that is matched perfectly with a firm tannin structure that just says...DRINK ME! I really loved it and will save the second bottle that I had bought for something special.
