February 8, 2024 - This is great wine. Pure and intense blackcurrant and cassis. Great fruit extraction but this is not a fruit. The wine is elegant with a robust structure that beautifully balances the fruit. Medium plus weight. Long finish and straightforward at this juncture. Can be drunk now but will be better in 5 years and then will last decades.

January 7, 2023 - Some VA at first on the nose. It blew off after about an hour, revealing balsamic vinegar, dark plums, blackberries, mint, black licorice, tobacco vanilla and cedar. Flavors consistent with the aromas.
Perfect structure here and overall very well balanced, especially considering all the crimes that have been comitted in the name of Napa Cab. Full bodied, medium + tannin and still good acid. Drink now or hold for another 2-5 years. Nothing absolutely earth shattering or moving here; but a solid effort. Great pairing with a grilled filet. -

May 13, 2022 - Beautifully aromatic. Deep dark nearly black in the glass. Smooth soft tannins with lively acidity. Dark fruit flavors. Blackberry and cassis. Medium+ finish. Long and memorable. Wonderfully balanced.

September 26, 2020 - The wine has a clean, fresh aroma with a hint of eucalyptus. The tannins are very fine maintaining a finessed grip. There are gobs of dark fruit flavors with pronounced blackberry. This has great acidity and is robustly structured. It has a wonderfully refined finish that goes on and on. Velvety smooth and a pleasure to enjoy. Fantastic.
