November 17, 2019 - initial impression poured chilled and with salami is yum.
smells like ripe berries and a little floral stuff going on.
palate is fruit forward def getting little of that vegetal cab franc character on the mid back. balanced and a treat. liking it a lot.
September 8, 2019 - Easy going, juicy and still quite youthful four years after harvest. Dark berries, blackcurrant leaf and just enough tannin to make it go well with food.
January 27, 2019 - Even though I am not a huge fan of Cabernet Franc, this is nice enough, especially at around 14 degrees celsius. At that temperature it feels fresh, with cherries, blackcurrant and wild raspberries, a little bell pepper and tobacco. Very little tannins. CT average of drink latest 2018 is a huge exaggeration, I think this will be good for 2020 if stored well.
December 15, 2018 - Smooth and generously fruited with excellent aromatic typicity, medium acidity and liquorice saltiness. Less lactic, it would have been even better. Still a very good companion to charcuterie.
December 31, 2016 - See previous note
September 10, 2016 - See previous note.
August 13, 2016 - A smooth Chinon with riper fruit than typical, not as much grip. Likeable and would be a great Chinon introduction to California wine drinkers, but not a standout and there are probably better values for lovers of Loire reds.
August 7, 2016 - Smarrig, god och lättdrucken CF, favorit.
June 22, 2016 - Notes of violets, licqourice, tarragon, green pepper. A bit young still, rough in the edges.
June 18, 2016 - Nice quaffable cabernet franc, notes of black currant, a little pepper and green bell peppers. I like this better than the 2014 and it would pair excellently with some nice charcuterie.
