January 19, 2024 - Very classical, well balanced, masculine Bordeaux.
    Intensity and depth.
At a good point of aging right now, I'd think.
    Very satisfying.
Price of ~20 EUR is pretty much OK.

March 28, 2023 - Deep dark reddish purple color with a very pleasant nose of rich dark black and red fruits beautifully integrated with cedar, vanilla and an earthy profile. The palate is of high quality fruit from an exceptional vintage with a dense and luxurious mouthfeel, well-structured, with good intensity, on the lighter end of full-bodied, moderately dry, quite soft and balanced and exudes a very mellow yet firm presence. The flavor components includes a core of well extracted dark fruits infused with a lovely array of secondary characteristics including noticeable cedar wood, mild oak, rich vanilla cream, mild tobacco, Kona coffee and a very quick flash of intense minerality towards the finish. A quality and delicious blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. I was glad that I picked up this Cru Bourgeois Superior at the last minute from a local supermarket to pair with a take-out roasted goose dinner. It certainly made an otherwise ordinary dinner alone in a Hong Kong hotel room a truly remarkable and memorable experience. 90 - 92

November 7, 2022 - Upon decanting, my partner said she could smell the wine ten feet away. This bottle may have showed best early: expressive nose, good balance, shortish but pleasant finish....this bottle 90 pts

September 29, 2022 - Served by the glass at La Tête dans les Raisins (Lorient, France). Deep dark ruby magenta color. Fig, stewed plum, anise, and lamb skin on the nose. Smooth, tongue drying palate. Firm tannins on the medium long finish. Very solid for the price.

June 26, 2022 - Can’t believe it has been almost 4 years since my last bottle. My last note was to try again in a year, but the extra time has been good for this wine. Fruit is more forward and tannins have been tamed and integrated. Still needs a few hours of air to put on some weight. Definitely a much better wine now. Hopefully I won’t wait 4 years for my next bottle cuz I have the 2016s waiting on the rack too! 4.1 stars or 91 pts with further upside.

June 24, 2022 - Quick note: See my earlier CT note. This ONE bought in FR from a supermarche--maybe 12e--four years ago. Decanted with minor sediment.
Good color, tasty with good fruit, seems better than the ones bought in the US; I'll try another there.

June 14, 2022 - Really in good place. After 1.5 hr decant to remove barnyard smell, leather and graphite really came through. Little bit thin but then again, I am biased toward Napa cabs, so found the balance refreshing.

For the price point, well worth it.

February 25, 2022 - Bought 6b for 15/b from WL 4+ years ago; this is #1. Good cork. No decant, no noticeable sediment. Purple; reticent red fruit nose, not much impression of flavor. Served with several other wines at a dinner for six--perhaps too distracted to pay attention. Will try again. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. Quality, age, price: Notable- (for now).
