September 18, 2020 - Tempted to say wine flawed or defective. But I don't know. Wine thin and bitter with little of interest on the nose either.

June 23, 2020 - A little bit more bright than the ‘17 but the same nice characters of cherries and nice tannins. Great for accompanying food

April 18, 2020 - This was a very pretty wine, in a good place right now. I didn't keep any notes. But this was earthy, red fruited, with a spine of acidity. Remained juicy, and versatile with food at dinner over three different nights.

January 26, 2020 - A lovely light and tannic Burgundy with more than a few years up its sleeves.

On day three, its tannins and length really come to the fore.

Light red with a browning edge. Nose is closed down by a stemmy spice that cuts through.

Red fruits, touch of orange peel, and earth pull early in to the drying middle.

It sits light and low in the palate, with crunchy acidity and powdery tannins.

Finish is translucent, grippy, with a touch of mint and browning leaves. It is quite long, I love the menthol and earth and red fruit length.

Very good wine, just short of excellent. At $50 odd in Australia you’ll be able to buy a local wine with a whole lot more stuffing, but then it won’t taste like Burgundy. It delivers more than expected from its Savigny ‘village’ level.

3.75 to 4 out of 5. Drink now to 3 years.
