November 15, 2020 - PnP from a 55 degree cellar. The color is striking: totally translucent, burnt orange, almost rust. Nose of light underripe strawberry, cherry, and lots of blood orange pith. Similar on the palate. Surprisingly bitter on the finish, but pleasantly so. Mouthwatering acids. Notably lighter and more citrus tinged than the Arnot Roberts Trousseau, which I generally find more redolent of cherries and strawberries. Delicious and refreshing. I suspect the blood orange pith will seem stronger as the primary fruits (continue to) fade. I also suspect this will be a very interesting wine in five years, though, again, I do think the primary red fruits will be quite faded.

    December 1, 2018 - Pale orangey red.
A real fruit salad of a nose. Raspberry, strawberry, cherry.
But it's a completely different palate. There *is* still some fruit but it is like heavily extracted, qevri friulan white. Quite astringent. Almost aggressively dry . Softened with some beef tartare. Seems to need a bit of time in the glass to open up.
A fascinating wine. Remarkably food friendly.
Probably 88 or 89 objectively, but for interest and food matching maybe 92.

November 26, 2017 - Man if there was ever a rosé/blush built for food, this is it. Great acidity and depth. A little back-end grip which was a nice surprise as well
