July 26, 2021 - - Ruby color and aromas of cherry, cloves, black pepper, vanilla and cedar. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry and raspberry with a medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Decanted one hour. Still good fruit, spice box nose. Crushed dark red fruit on the medium long finish. Great with sockeye salmon.

May 1, 2021 - A surprise. On the nose get strawberry, raspberry, mineral. On the pallette, it is medium bodied with nice nuance. Nose flavors shine. As it opens up, it becomes more peppery.

We thought it paired well with out steelhead at dinner.

November 15, 2019 - Much better at five years than it was in the year of release. The red fruit is nicely intact, making for a fragrant, smooth pour. A hint of garrigue and spice is also present, adding interest. Light weight but good attack in the mouth. Unlike Grenache, or Mourvedre, but offers a red fruit character like them.

December 9, 2017 - Medium(-) translucent ruby, light rim @12.7% abv. Aromas of bramble, sweet spice, cedar. Dry, medium(+) acidity, medium(-) tannin, low alcohol, and medium body. Remarkable deep palate of blueberry, cherry, sweet spice, pepper. Balanced, lovely texture and good length finish with uplifting freshness. Elegant, easy going with intriguing complexity.

November 23, 2017 - Translucent red garnet. Nose is lightly fruity (carnelian cherry, strawberry) with whiffs of flowers, herbs, oolong tea leaves, and a trace of menthol. The palate is fresh and lively, not at all thin, black cherry reinforced with acidity and tannin. I can see how this adds brightness and structure to Esprit's fleshy and more assertive Mourvedre, Grenache, and Syrah.
