October 22, 2019 - I agree with Mary K. Enjoyed this last night with Prime Sirloin steaks, sauted onions & mushrooms and asparagus on the side. Very balanced with leather & pencil notes. A star of the evening for sure!

December 4, 2018 - Disagree with the consensus. Full of flavor. Pencil lead and hay. Well balanced. Full of flavor.

August 11, 2018 - My incredibly positive impression is a dissent from the norm here. Light, almost burgundy like, but less “watery” than etheral. The fruit was still very much alive, as was the Paulliac pencil-lead thing. The nose was gorgeous, and the flavors are lingering now, an hour later, in my memory and — somewhere — on the palette. Special wine.

March 19, 2018 - Earthy. Muted and Light fruit. Past it prime. Still drinkable

February 20, 2018 - Drank with the 95 and 96. This was the weakest... pretty but just not much there.. light in body and color

(Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste Pauillac) Considerable maturity of colour here. There is an elegant purity of fruit on the nose at first, which is a touch smoky. The palate has a slightly creamy texture, but is unbalanced. A low level of tannins is appropriate for the vintage, but there is prominent, incongruous acidity. No length. This wine may come around with time in the cellar - or it may fall apart.
