March 12, 2017 - Solid, but not spectacular. Actually a bit disappointing for a Lodi wine - which we deeply love - as it was more of a generic red than anything. Not certain it is actually 96 percent Petite Syrah; could be any red grapes in there.

February 28, 2017 - Big body 14.5%. Tobacco and a little fruit smell. Taste has a little fruit initially but is overtaken by graphite and earth. A gritty tough ps

July 26, 2016 - Like some others, I was a little disappointed, and had trouble identifying this as Petit Sirah from Lodi. The color and the texture are teeth staining purple, concentration of flavors is pretty tame. Maybe this is one of those wines that has seen heavy filtration? Does not willingly exhibit much Petit nose or palate. Some slightly artificial sappy vanilla flavor on the palate. Missing that thin skinned, approachable, lovable fruit that makes Petit Sirah so attractive.

June 24, 2016 - Deep purple color, rich almost Cab like, smooth blackberry and hint of smoke. Perfect for a Friday night
