December 30, 2023 - SBS with 2002 Haan and 2004 Haven hudson this evening. Took a small amount of decanting to open up although it was quite solid from the get go. More complexity and layering as it opened. Glad I waited a while to open another bottle as this is ageing beautifully, a testament to the quality in the bottle. A true Rodney Dangerfield of a wine as it is from Lirac, it remains a mind numbing QPR especially in the better vintages.

October 6, 2023 - 8th and 9th of 12, splash decanted, perfect corks and levels, little changed from bottles noted in 21, very harmonious but with fine attack and layering, some upside, 10 years. F (17.5)......and perhaps higher based simply on pleasure factor putting many a CdP to shame!

August 13, 2021 - 7th of 12, pnp, perfect cork and level, even nicer than last July's bottle, remarkably nuanced for what it is, showing smokey syrah side, previously more on the grenache, upside yet. F (17.5).

July 13, 2020 - 5th and 6th of 12, opened 45 minutes, perfect cork and level , as previously noted, very attractive, refined and complex for what it is, extraordinary RQP, no rush and still improving. VGI (17).

August 24, 2019 - Fresh nose of menthol, forest floor, and roasted coffee beans. Not quite as complex in the mouth with tart cherries, cranberries leading the way. Light-to-medium weight with some still-assertive tannins and a long drying finish. Excellent food wine and paired perfectly with flank steak marinated in brewed coffee, balsamic and brown sugar.
