    April 12, 2024 - Base 2018, off the list at The Grill. Richer and fruitier than the 2014 I’d tried, still that great intense umami minerality. Jane just loved it. Worked for us!

    March 13, 2024 - Opened at The Ledbury in London. P&P and enjoyed over dinner.

    No extensive notes taken, but very enjoyable. I think I preferred the one I had a few days before which was '18 disgorged - a little more richness and creaminess on the palate - but not complaining. A very good champagne and perfect for the evening and for the first few courses!

    February 24, 2024 - Beautiful bouquet with brioche and some beautiful rustic flavors. On the palate tight and focused with minerals, some apple, a bit sticky and drying. Beautiful bubble.

But hey when a Ulysse Collin comes your way you cannot be too finicky. Nose is bready/yeasty but is not your prototypical BdB nose. Little lemon curd. Rather quince and pear. It more than hints at coming breadth of the palate. More opulent fruit than what comes out of the Cote des Blancs for sure. Given market price I would sit on those for 3+ years past disgorgement for maximum expression
