January 31, 2020 - Still wonderful. Complexity with all kinds of fruits, tending towards black. Flowery aromas are present as well. Nicely full and evolved, with a gentle, acidic agressivity ending in an austere and bone dry finish. I love this Chianti, accompanying today my cote a l'os with salsify in gorgonzola sauce perfectly.

April 27, 2018 - Beautiful CC riserva. Smooth and earthy with integrated oak from barrique.

November 4, 2017 - Went well with cassoulet. Blackberry, blueberry, medicinal and black olive. High alcohol at 15%. Enjoyable wine overall but not sure I would keep longer

October 15, 2017 - Yes! This is what I want from a Chianti! Typical rustic nose of sangiovese. Plenty of not too gentle acidity combined with various red and black fruits and finishing with a drying tannic bite. Enough complexity and concentration to end up in my highest tier.

August 16, 2017 - Medium-bodied, and more elegant than I was expecting from this (brutally hot/dry) vintage. Average freshness and complexity, I think this is already in the zone; was better after 60 minutes of air in wide-bottom decanter. 80% Sangiovese, with equal parts Ciliegiolo and Colorino, and other local varieties (e.g. Mammolo, Fogliatonda, Malvasia Nera, Sanforte, Pugnitello, etc.); should last another 5-6 years though some of the freshness might be missing by then - not sure I'd wait past 2021 if only because it's drinking well now. Kind of stands alone, and I like that. recommended
