February 5, 2021 - Deep red in color with long-lasting legs. Sweet on the top of the tongue and deeper flavors erupt as it moves through the mouth. Heavily sweet, as to be expected. I’m glad I opened it— this will be a great weekend treat.

December 18, 2020 - Zinfandel smells like socal, this smells like socal. Dry brush, and dried herbs with rich overtones of Porto and chocolate.

    Complex and enjoyable,
Brown sugar, caramel, black fruit. Delicious!

April 19, 2020 - Sweet Zin with dried fruit afternotes -berry and dried apricot maybe? Tasty. Not memorable but fun in a Demi bottle.

August 19, 2018 - Wow. Is this a port or a still wine?Does not have glycerin or mouthfeel of a traditional port. Very rich and decadent though. Cooked dark fruits, raisins and caramel. Zippy acidity.

April 19, 2018 - Very good impression of real Porto. Good nose of big red fruit and a bit of blueberry and chocolate too. Decent acidity, full body and a good dose o alcohol. Was best about 4-5 days after opening

November 10, 2017 - Great value for money, but I recommend buying a few bottles and aging some if you want to drink any soon. While good when bought new, this is one of the few 'short cork' ports I've found to benefit from aging. While it would be unlikely to 'beat' a good vintage port, I did find that - personally - a bottle I had aged for at least 3-5 years compared not unfavorably to an early 1980s vintage Taylor Fladgate that had been aged for over 20 years. Not the same level of complexity, of course, but they shared some nice notes of dark berry. This was overall sweeter while the vintage port was lighter and more complex, but I considering the difference in cost and storage time I cannot complain.

December 27, 2014 - Black fruits and chocolate dominate on the palate, body on the lighter side of the scale. Has a hollow note mid palate that might fill in with time, if it does it would elevate this from just OK to a decent glass of dessert.
