January 13, 2024 - Some menthol on the nose. Not much fruit. Smooth with oak and vanilla and smooth tannins. I'm not picking up much fruit or floral elements.
November 11, 2023 - Flight 2 with Burlotto Monvigliero. dense, voluminous, creamy oak, in the vein of modern style actually. Ripe cherries, glossy fruits, strawberries and a cooling minty influence to the palate. In the mouth it is more restraint than in the nose, it has elegance and some of that dried fruits character. Oak though was touch distracting.
October 28, 2023 - Continues to be fantastic. This light weighted, yet high toned fruit with plenty of structure is my favorite style of Barolo. Cherry, strawberry, menthol, herbs.
July 25, 2023 - Burgundy vs Barolo: Guessed as 2013 Barolo. Some spice and high-toned red fruit notes. Firm backbone and tannins. With air, it put on a lovely elegance. My favourite of the flight.
February 28, 2023 - Aromas of eucalyptus, rosemary, dried pine needles and mulberries. Medium-bodied and only moderately tannic, this is certainly ready to drink. This is just fine, nothing special. I sense that like so many wines from this property, it's about to head south, so drink up! 91

October 7, 2021 - How much 2012 Barolo is too much 2012 Barolo (Noize): Alessandria vs Burlotto Monvigliero was probably the liveliest debate of the evening. Some loved the Burlotto style of slight strawberry confit on the nose and palate allied with great balance, most however preferred the structure, cut and terrior expression from the Alessandria. Those who preferred the Burlotto however voted it their WOTN.
November 2, 2020 - I drank this bottle over 3 days, and it was advancing throughout with the best showing up on day 3. Classic and powerful Barolo notes, with herbs, white pepper, spices, and dried fruits.
August 3, 2020 - Very nice, light, dark fruit, quite elegant young barolo. OK to drink now but will be even better in a couple of years. Real value here.
December 29, 2019 - So refined and elegant. I love the floral expressiveness and weightless, pure fruit.
