April 8, 2024 - Well-colored, with lots of ripe orchard fruit. More primary than I had anticipated. Plenty of acid—perhaps just a wee bit too much, even given the sweet fruit. 5-13-15-8: 91/100.

July 15, 2023 - Tasted next to 2015 Haart Goldtröpfchen and Keller Kirchspiel. Rich and ripe fruit on the palate with a hint of honey, stone fruit, lemon, and minerals. Great acidity, although it's a bit buried under the ripe fruit with clear residual sugar notes, yellow peach, and lemon rind on the palate. Long finish. Very good wine that remains balanced despite the richness and ripeness of the fruit. Doesn't reach the complexity of the Kirchspiel, though.

July 6, 2023 - Really enjoyed this! I see some previous notes didn’t appreciate the sugar level, as I was expecting it and I generally like the sweetness as much as the dryness in German Riesling. Lots of honey, tropical fruit, subtle spice, some green apple notes on the nose, kiss of the RS hits you on the attack, with bright acidity and a quasi grippy texture, lots of fruit and a long finish. This is still quite primary with a long life ahead.

If I remember correctly, Julia Harding loved this wine when it came out originally. I am not sure if I caught this at an odd phase, but this was disappointing.
