February 27, 2023 - This was a superb Chianti Riserva. The fruit had mostly converter to roses and tobacco, with just the right amount of spice (Allspice?) The middle was smooth yet held onto the spiciness, and it flowed right into an old leather and fine dry tannin... .. I knew this wine was better than it had showed in the old tasting notes!!

March 25, 2020 - The bottle was much less than I expected. Lots of fruit and everything just together in a very smooth mouth. I judge this wine is made for the future. Body is there and adequate acidity. To me, the flavors should break out with time and this wine may become something super special. Right now.....its ok.
December 6, 2019 - Sangiovese (Dig Wines, San Francisco): Clear throughout, light ruby core. Some volatile acidity on the nose. Light and full of soil. A brief flash of sweet, dark fruit, some oak, then herbs and a grainy, tannic finish. Little maturity for a 7 year old wine. It needs more time, but I do worry about the fruit going the necessary distance.
May 15, 2019 - Enjoyable Chianti. Nice fruit with a bit of acidity.
February 7, 2018 - Tasty Chianti. It’s on the fruity side but there are hints of oak. Really enjoyable.
June 18, 2017 - This wine is big and complex with lots going on but it is all happening helter-skelter. I exp.ect the wine to come together in a year or so but it's body hints of wonders to come in 5-10 years
June 9, 2017 - Dark cherry and dark berries, spice, nice acidity. A bit of smoky oak. Not sure it's worth premium over their regular chianti classico.
February 24, 2017 - This Chianti is composed of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaiolo grapes.
Dark ruby. Aroma of black cherries, violets and wood smokiness. The tannins are high but they are so soft and elegant. This wine has a round a mouthfeel. Very smooth! Score 91/100. (S.Segard, reviewed Feb. 24, 2017)
