July 30, 2017 - Man, off the cork pull that really gives it up with a heady perfume. I wouldn't go tar but it certainly does black tea and black cherries to me. And great and pure clarity on the palate. Whew.
July 1, 2017 - A smooth, velvety red, with plum, cherry, menthol, tar and tobacco flavors. Balanced and long, echoing fruit, underbrush and mineral elements on the aftertaste. Best from 2020 through 2036. 800 cases made.

May 24, 2017 - More tar, less flowers notes Joe. "it just smells like fresh paving tar, and I like that". And its big on the palate, powerful, and not showing much yet on the finish. Just needing some time. Just opened.
November 20, 2016 - Spicy nose with notes of cherry cough drops; glossy and a little confected. Fresh with softer tannins than most in this line-up. Ripe, generous fruit. Spicy finish. 88-89+
