February 17, 2024 - Oenanthe wrote "Dark red. Leathery and gamey, more meaty" which is exactly what I have. 6 month ago I gave it 6 hours in the decanter which was too much. Now only very little time which made it very closed. Very little tannins but medium acidity. Lots of dark cherries and berries, leather, chocolate and some gamey/iron/blod feeling. Some green grass as well.

September 29, 2023 - Condrieu and Cote Rotie; 9/28/2023-10/28/2023 (Must and Lees, N1): Dark red. Leathery and gamey, more meaty than anything else in the tasting and my first thought was along the lines of “now this is Cote Rotie!”. Then I wonder if in fact it is more bretty than I would ideally like but can’t really conclude either way. It is nicely sweet on the palate, good red and black fruit profile, quite succulent, and less farmyard aspect than the nose. I found this to be quite a class act and rather good, but apparently the bottle fell over far more quickly than it ought to have done.

September 28, 2023 - TWS North London; Cote Rotie and Condrieu at Must & Lees (Must & Lees, N1): Served cooler than room temp. Incredibly refined and direct nose. Some barnyard funk/brett. Plenty of tannic grip and lots of stuffing, but it doesnt detract from the really noteworthy purity of fruit. This is delicous and I would expect it to only get better; light on its feet.

September 28, 2023 - Condrieus and Côte-Rôties of North London (Must & Lees): Sadly flawed, with a really interesting presentation of TCA - smelt of ozone and bladderwrack, like standing on a quayside in NW Scotland, before the wet cardboard came through. A shame, as this was apparently excellent in the first couple of minutes after it was poured.
