March 1, 2024 - Leuchtendes Ruibinrot, aufgehellter Rand.

October 24, 2021 - Lovely violets and dark floral fruits against a flinty palate. There seemed to be room for lots of different notes to come forward one by one, rather than all blaring out at once. Interesting, and still hews to the classic "feminine" Margaux style. Tannins still grippy at the end and felt fine about drinking it now, but could definitely wait more too. Haven't seen much of Ch. Graviers elsewhere on CT and wonder why.

July 17, 2020 - Nice stuff. Leans more to Cab flavors than Merlot. Airy aromas of tobacco, leather, nutmeg, espresso, mint and privet; fruit is present but not super intense, with notes of ripe cherry, cassis and plum. On the fuller side of medium-bodied, with satin-textured tannins and fresh acids. Nothing really stands out, and it is probably not going to improve a whole lot, but it is balanced and will evolve nicely for at least another 5 years, maybe quite a bit longer. Classically styled, it opens up more to savory notes than sweet fruit, yet it is not very oaky, this could become very interesting in time. Tough call right now, but it's classic smooth Margaux at the moment.
