February 14, 2019 - This was delicious. Unusual grape/region, but it has a bit of a Northern Rhone thing going on. Less heavy than many a Condrieu but some of the same underlying fruits and a notable creaminess. Also some salinity and good acid. Really excellent value.
May 28, 2018 - Pale lemon. Muted stone fruit, pear and water melon aromas. The palate has pear, melon, apricot, greengage and nettle flavours and with soft textures with a hint of tangy salinity. Decent but lacks excitement.
March 1, 2018 - Grassy and mineral on its nose, also some pinetree. Quite a nice alive mouthfeel full of rich flavor. Medium to full in body. Juicy yellow apple, some sweetness, some butter. Very delicious, and will buy another bottle. Would be great for the summer.
June 1, 2017 - Same great wine I had for the first time in March. Hope I can find more.
March 26, 2017 - What a treat to find a great new winery (to me) and at the same time find a new grape (albilla). Very smooth, almost velvety, with a combination of mineral and melon. Doesn't get much better. Let's watch it over the next few years.
January 2, 2017 - Lightly tinged yellow color. Slightly funky/musty nose, but not corked. Sort of feral. Bright in the mouth, viscous and long. Slight petrol flavor. Coolest wine I've had in the last six months. Sourced from Westgate Wine, Raleigh, NC.
October 28, 2016 - interesting nose with slight stone fruit but with a subtle earthy or vegetal note. Crisp and very mineral driven on the attach but finishes a bit richer with a bigger, almost oily mouthfeel more reminiscent of a rhone white, like a marsanne/rousanne blend. Nice wine, pretty unique.
June 23, 2016 - 100 % Albilla from 40 - 60 years old vineyards. Going very well with the first hot day of this summer. When properly chilled, it is steely, stony freshness with citrus fragrance. With air and getting warmer, the wine gets richer and lime sweetness more pronounced. Very long and persistent. Serious, terroir driven wine with great energy. Great for food.
