  Intense, concentrated neon green color. Very developed, tertiary and rather old nose with aromas of stone dust, raw potato, some honeyed richness, a little bit of smoke, light apple juice notes, a hint of aged creaminess and a touch of lemon marmalade. The wine is very developed, light-bodied and rather thin on the palate with racy acidity and dry, tertiary flavors of steely minerality, wizened lemon, some pithy grapefruit, a little bit of tart green apple, a hint of old, dried stone fruits and a touch of raw potato. The wine is very high in acidity, which feels rather overwhelming in comparison to the light body and somewhat dilute fruit. The finish is short, racy and acid-driven with crisp flavors of lemony citrus fruits, steely minerality, some woolly lanolin flavors, a little bit of wizened stone fruits and a hint of raw potato.
  
  This wine was just past its peak. It didn't feel oxidative at all, so the wine wasn't dead because of oxygen. It just felt like the fruit flavors were quite dead and dull at this point and the aromatics were pretty much dominated by the raw potato tones that seem quite typical for an old Riesling that have gone over the hill. Fortunately the wine cost only 15€, so the loss wasn't unbearable.
