July 14, 2022 - Water, Trimbach Pinot Blanc? Water, Trimbach Pinot Blanc? I guess I'll go with the Pinot Blanc but if anyone here wants water try this - ITS PRACTICALLY THE SAME AS WATER! Almost no taste, clean, clear, HEY - did someone secretly open up this screw capped bottling and pour in water instead? Wine for people who would rather drink water. They use to put taste into this stuff - what happened? Did I age it too far and the taste all fall out? And NO, I don't have covid - I checked.
Why such a high score then? I didn't want to give water a bad name. -

April 19, 2020 - 86 is the bottom end of very good on the rating scale. On the one hand, it is OK, nothing exceptional, but on the other hand, the acidity and minerality made it a great pairing with Asian fare, so I am somewhat influenced by that. I guess for $15 or thereabouts, not a bad little deal for something different, although I don't see us clamoring for immediate repurchase. Good experience, have had other Trimback Alsatian wines that are a tad better. I would drink 2020.

October 17, 2019 - {screwcap, 13%} Mid yellow, with a green flash. Nose is spiced pear, oak-free. Fleshy white fruit. Palate is low/medium acidity, just enough to hold it together, medium weight and a dry but shortish finish. OK but lacks real depth or intensity of fruit. A couple of years in bottle has given it some heft but it's still a bit one-dimensional. Nice to see the screwcap.

August 8, 2019 - Was not expecting this to be as good as it was, shame on me for doubting Trimbach. Served chilled with this year's annual beach vacation seafood dinner of linguini in light red sauce with clams, mussels, shrimp, crab and scallops on the side to keep from drying out. What a pairing! And the wine was just as good before and after dinner, almost voluptuous mouthfeel, seems such a different and niche style of Trimbach. Will buy more of this, especially for the price, when seafood is served in larger groups.
