September 6, 2018 - Needs to be decanted. Okay the first night, much better the second night.

June 26, 2018 - still super young. should have decanted but was greedy. tons of velvety tannins, bouquet opened up about an hour later; raspberry, dry fig, with hint of cacao seed bitterness that balances the palate.

May 27, 2016 - Wanted to try one of my recently delivered bottles. Very young but approachable after about 2 hours in decanter. Sharp tannins (although fine grained) and acidity almost give it an effervescent feel in your mouth until air helps it come together. Lots of fruit -- cherry, rhubarb (maybe blood orange), and black raspberry. Some minerality and dark chocolate on the finish. Nothing boring about this wine. Interesting to see where this goes.
