August 30, 2020 - 5th of 6, opened an hour, perfect cork and level, all the attributes of March bottle, just more to it, rounder, plusher, more persistent and nuanced and now showing properly the inherent generosity of a top vintage with scope to improve for 5 and to hold for at least 5 more years. A possibly mean F (17.5)....a climat tucked under the wood above Lavaut which struggles to ripen other than in hot vintages such as 99, 02. 03, etc.

March 23, 2020 - 4th of 6, opened an hour, perfect cork and level, less brown on rim than last June's bottle, more dimension and nuance to the largely black slightly brambly fruit, varnish largely resolved, nice earth flavours, proper volume from rich vintage beefy rather than transparent, fully mature but no rush. F (17.5).

August 28, 2019 - Great fruit for its age; in a nice spot right now.

June 9, 2019 - 3rd of 6, opened 30 minutes, perfect cork and level, looks older but tastes younger than last bottle in October 17, more nail varnish, less layering to the fruit, though I suspect in a bit of a dumb phase, I would expect this to be upgraded in a couple of years and be good for 10. Currently VGI (17).

April 28, 2019 - Red and blue fruits on the palate, still unevolved and primary, tannins are smooth, the wine is not saying much currently. Surprising how unevolved this still is. Quality Italian with H. Camhi.
