    July 9, 2017 - Appearance - clear, light gold

Nose - clean, youthful, medium minus sweet ripe tropical fruit. Gettin the faint sweet sweat aroma that you pull out. Most recognizable fruit is banana. Getting a soapy smell.

Palate - clean, youthful, sweet, floral, acidity is there medium plus, alcohol is medium, minerality is medium plus, pairing with chicken again but a light summer dish with mixed vegetables. Pairs better than anything heavy. I think it's the sweet fruit that bothers me. A bit like a cheaper Pinot Grigio. It feels like a wine that will give you a hangover.

June 18, 2017 - Appearance - clear, medium minus light gold.

Nose - medium minus tropical fruit. Sweet and ripe but you need to pull it out. Getting banana, honeysuckle. (Ok truth be told roasting chicken so getting that but the wine isn't really presenting itself)

Palate - clean, crisp, generic. Agree with reviewer who suggested this appears like a Sauvignon Blanch though less of the cat pee. The acidity is medium plus. Definite minerality. You get wet stones. Medium balance. On finish you get more of a punch than in the palate. Medium alcohol that is integrated. No oak.

All in all, tastes like the fruit was not ripe enough. It's a non descript white wine. Sense there are better ones out there for a value wine.

June 12, 2017 - Perhaps a bit underwhelming. Just had a more flavorful Rueda at a restaurant. This has a reticent nose, lime. Grapefruity/human sweat flavor but pretty mild presence overall. Decent.

March 28, 2017 - 100% Verdejo. Very strong green characteristic coming through. Floral notes. Stone fruits and apricot on the palate. Maybe the fruit is a little overdone here. Acid is quite what I wish it would be. Hits everywhere but the tip of the tongue. A sister wine to California Sauvignon Blanc.

March 24, 2017 - Far from a monumental wine, but that was never its intent, and I think this is a real success within the style. The nose and the palate are pretty well in line. This is mostly lime and mineral driven, but it is underpinned with a fair degree of complexity; lemons, a slight, rounding white peach, a general green herbaceousness with a slightly bitter note - so I'll plant my flag on tarragon. Chalkiness, white flowers and a fresh sense that makes you long for summer. Medium- body, medium alcohol, medium+, saliva inducing, acidity and a decent finish for such a crisp wine.

Drink this outside and in the sun, although it will go down dangerously quick. Very good example of the region and style and a good value to boot.

February 5, 2017 - Light yellow with glints of green. Lemon, cut grass, and melon on the nose. Light and crisp on the palate with bright acidity and somewhat salty finish. Drinks somewhat like a less green New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

February 4, 2017 - WSET Diploma Unit 3 - Rhone and Spain (SF): Verdejo
    13% alcohol, $16

    (non-blind)
    Pale lemon color.
Clean medium plus intensity nose reminds me a low-pyrazine NZ sauv blanc
    - slight passionfruit and lemon
    - baked stones
    - Hint of oxidation - bruised passionfruit
    - lack of malo aromas (also acid seems like it has a lot of tart and rough malic character)
    - seems like there are slight lees

Medium minus body, medium plus alcohol - feels 13.5% (actually 13%).
Medium plus acid, just very slight bitterness - but it's not really phenolic bitterness. Seems like maybe coarseness from variable ripeness or poor winemaking. Medium minus finish. Low complexity.

This is a very good Rueda DO - It has expressive primary fruit aromas, crisp acidity. It's not complex, but that is typical of the region. There are better examples in the region that have better integration and length. Also there's a slightly wilted / prematurely oxidized note which suggests it should be drunk earlier rather than later.

84 - I like the nose, but the palate isn't that well integrated.

June 15, 2016 - Lite yellow, straw colored. A citrusy, minerally almost Sauvignon blanc profile. Good acidity for lite cheese apps and seafood at fish 101 on nite 2.
