March 25, 2024 - Better on the nose than on the palate. Good density but still tart with abundant oak and acid. Not sure how this will develop.

February 2, 2024 - No detailed tasting note other than "lovely sweet strawberry" but I recall enjoying this.

March 3, 2023 - The Verticals Tasting at 2023 La Paulée (Eventi Hotel, New York): Dull ruby. Oak and citrus. Medium weight. Lush, woody feel, excellent amplitude of fruit. Supple, polished, and very modern. The rare 2015 that wasn’t holding back today. Crowd pleasing style, but this may have been the least Burgundian wine I tasted at La Paulée.

February 20, 2021 - Wine tasting dinner - sundry HQ (At home): Tasted against Trapet Pere & Fils Le Chambertin 2011.
Extremely fruity and high intensity and no tertiary notes yet. Typical Mortet. I was curious so could not wait trying a bottle. As expected it was youthful but it definitely has potential for many years of ageing: I am pretty sure this will develop to an outstanding wine with lots of complexity. Still 15 btls in cellar. Lookin forward to following the development. Le Chambertin 2011 from Trapet was less fruity, more savoury with beginning tertiary notes. I rated both 94. Both wines are pretty expensive, with Le Chambertin of course as the most expensive. In my opinion Mortet will over the coming years develop to the best of the 2.

March 5, 2019 - This was a nice wine. Certainly fullish but with plenty of depth and a nice spicy balance to the fruit. Needs time but has the elements to age well. (91)
