  September 3, 2017 - Violet with violet rim; nose of cherry, bandaid, plums, green olives; palate follows nose with jammy cherries and plums; balanced; mellow tannins; medium finish - not overly powerful - with some tar notes; nice medium bodied red; easy to match

  February 23, 2017 - After the excesses of wine fest, I can handle a glass or two again.
  
  This is the step down from the Portfolio using all the leftover stuff. It's pretty good, but soft.
  
  The wine has medium acidity. It smells like blackberry, tobacco, prune, cedar, alcohol/hot and black currant (cassis). The wine finishes medium. It tastes like prune, blackberry, strawberry, eucalyptus, oak and raspberry. The wine looks ruby coloured. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. The wine has smooth texture.
