March 24, 2022 - Medium garnet. On the nose - dark cherries, raspberries, liquorice, vanilla, cloves, sous bois, smoke. Developing. Dry palate, med+ acidity, medium fine tannins, well integrated, med+ alcohol and body, long finish. Savoury palate, but with the fruit still present.

Best of the three bottles. Drinking well now but has the structure and intensity to develop further. I failed to keep this longer as I promised I would - mainly because it is so good now.

December 15, 2021 - Medium garnet. Ripe and dried dark fruit - cherries, brambles, some red fruit too (more evident on the palate), spice, smoke, vanilla, cloves, forest floor. Developing. Dry, high acidity, medium fine tannins, slightly drying, med+ alcohol, med body, long finish. Oak and alcohol evident but well balanced by the fruit, with a nice mix of primary, tertiary and secondary flavours and aromas. Very good NZ Pinot. Some development over past 18 months but can develop further - I’ll save my last bottle for a couple of years and see what happens.

July 22, 2020 - Ripe and dried dark fruits - cherries and brambles, spice, smoke, barnyard. Developing. Dry, Med+ acidity, full and rich pallet, med fine tannins, med+ finish. Lovely balance to this wine - fruit, acidity, tannins, alcohol at 13.5% well integrated. Excellent NZ Pinot.

April 14, 2020 - As others have said, this is still quite youthful with loads of dark fruit, spice and structure. I'd like to have tried this in another 3 to 5 years to see how it evolves but sadly just a single bottle.

March 29, 2020 - Ripe, fairly rich, pinot fruit, still quite fresh with some discreet tannin on the finish. A good example, which may well improve over the next 2 to 3 years.
