January 17, 2024 - As noted in other notes, cork is indeed fragile... came out in pieces and crumbled, had to decant through a screen. Wine quality unaffected.

This was killer, great nose of red and dark fruit, tobacco, leather. Blackberry, cassis along with bordeaux-esque notes of pencil shavings, and tobacco. Surprising still pretty tannic. This was delicious, and while no reason not to drink now, I think this will hold for quite a bit as well.

December 17, 2023 - Dark fruit, a good bit of leather and tobacco. Very nice smooth tannins. Be gentle with the cork, it was pretty fragile.

May 2, 2021 - The years have done well on this wine! Tonight it was beautifully integrated, elegant, subtle and yet sublime. The nose gave herbal notes with some dustiness and a hint of oak. The palate was primarily red and blue fruits with a wonderful long finish. It was the perfect foil for filet mignon done sous vide then grilled. Fabulous!

It was decanted for three hours. If you have them - enjoy them, but don't wait too much longer.

April 20, 2017 - Stellar, this wine performed incredibly well at a Riedel wine dinner, balanced, well integrated, vibrant, ripe and substantial enough to stand up to a well charred mid-rare tomahawk steak!! Drinking very well right now and will probably consume the rest of my bottles this year.
