August 12, 2022 - Served blind. White fruits and some minerality on the nose after 30 minutes. Very youthful, medium bodied with great acidity. Clean white fruits and good minerality with a medium plus finish. My friend guessed 2015 bordeaux and based on this bottle this could improve for years. 92 points

November 5, 2021 - in a solid place right now. perfect with seared 5 spice scallops. Do decant for a short time and let the Chenin work the magic. Love the acidity on this. Finished clean.

August 23, 2021 - This bottle showed much more signs of ageing than I expected, but what a wonderful place it had arrived at. Almond, lanoline, nectarine all mixed together, some minerality on the finish. Cellared since purchase in 2008.

April 16, 2021 - Dark yellow. Consistent with previous notes - some tropical fruit notes, set against an oak inflected, mineral backdrop. Good acidity, medium body, medium final.

October 15, 2020 - Imperial Paragon Wine Night + Promontory!: Yellow fruits, wet stones, minerals. This is still youthful and the tertiaries have not quite presented themselves. Ok to open now but should improve with more time. 91/92

May 9, 2020 - This is lovely dry Vouvray outstanding for it seamlessness and harmony. Aromas of pineapple, quince, wax and fine minerals emerge from the nose and weave through the medium+ bodied palate together with a hint of sweetness perfectly balanced by lively mouth watering acidity, silky texture, good underlying gras leading to a quite long finish supported by gentle backbone. Colour is still paler than most 15 year old Vouvray and I guess that this wine can hold on a superb plateau like this for some time. Excellent.

June 6, 2019 - Served blind others thought much younger than 14 years. Pretty nose with nice minerality. Minerals, white fruits and maybe just a touch of honey on the palate. Beautiful wine with great balance. Early maturity (cellared at 55 since release) 92 points

August 25, 2018 - Served double blind. Medium mineral-driven nose with white fruits and slight notes of oxidation. Palate is youthful and bright, which makes the oxidation notes in the note a bit odd. I was in Chablis. Some Chenin wooliness but you really have too look for it.

July 21, 2018 - Different from last bottle - much more youthful and barely getting going. Tried next to a 2015 Savennieres and it seemed barely older at all. Must be a very good bottle. Appley, crisp, bit of honeycomb, elegant pinging acidity. Wonderful.

June 10, 2018 - Classic aged chenin showing beautifully - a thwack of wet dog at the beginning of the nose, but then honeycomb, biscuits, apples and quite a saline finish. Acid rather soft for a chenin. At its peak.
