May 9, 2015 - Wonderful plush and intense Pinot Noir. Consumed at Proof in Washington DC. Vibrant and focused flavors of dark cherry and plum. Hints of mocha and anise. Wonderful mouth feel with a long, long finish. I only wish this had not been the last bottle in the cellar.

September 13, 2014 - Dark ruby. Nose of dark fruits. Palate with beautiful fruit and fairly prominent oak. Medium mouth feel and medium to long finish. Not much acidity or structure, but a very pleasurable experience nonetheless.

March 11, 2013 - The second time I've had this wine. Consumed with dinner at Black's Bar and Kitchen in Bethesda Maryland where I took my wife for her birthday. This is really her wine since we discovered it during a trip last year to the Sonoma Coast and she won't let me open a bottle without her being there. Paired it with a grilled veal scallopini for me, rich seafood stew for my son, and absolutely wonderful scallops for my wife.

Absolutely beautiful wine. Rich, deep ruby color. Nice legs. Very expressive nose. Wonderful dark fruits, with a hint of chocolate, cedar, and anise. Long, long finish. I wish I had been able to buy more when I did.

February 2, 2013 - Decanted 2 hours and rebottled. Dark cherry and anise on the nose. Quite full bodied for a Pinot with lots of dark cherry fruit along with notes of anise, chocolate and a little spice. Medium plus finish. Definitely has the structure to improve and last for several years. Would have preferred a little more acidity to go with the ample fruit but this is certainly very good. Will hold my other bottles for a couple of years. (90+ pts)
