  March 18, 2023 - Similar to prior note after being decanted at the table & went beautifully with the outstanding duck at Le Dip in DC. As it continued to improve throughout the meal, a longer decant or more time would likely be beneficial.

  February 8, 2023 - Monthly Tasting Group HWS; Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape (By VD and @ VD): Ripe cherries and berries as well as herbs and spices in the bouquet. On the palate warm fruits like ripe cherries and raspberries, some licorice and dark olives, good acidity and slightly sticky tannin and a good length. The wine is a bit more sweet than the 2014. It surprised me, but in this stage I liked the 2014 a bit more than this 2015.

  January 30, 2023 - Very good but IMHO needs more cellar time. Plenty of concentrated fruit but still pretty tight. Hold

Raspberry and strawberry compote, a little freshly tilled earth, cedar, fresh herbs in the background, cream, sweet spice, a little BBQ smoke. Juicy, fleshy fresh, red berry complete explodes on the palate, tannins are grapy and woody, drying coarsely textured, persistent but very much in support of the pretty fruit which is joined by a pinch of slightly bitter herbs on the finish. Very long and very lovely.
